Ervin J. Brausen, age 61, a resident of Pierz, MN died February 19, 1992 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Brainerd.
Funeral services were held February 22 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz with Father Robert Landsberger officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Ervin was born in Hillman to the late Peter and Elizabeth (Roos) Brausen. He was united in marriage to Donna Gammon February 5, 1952 at St. Mary's Church in Little Falls. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1953 to 1955. Ervin worked at Korfs Bar for 15 years, he then worked for Louis Gottwalt and Ray Poepping lumber and most recently was employed at Crestliner Boats in Little Falls. He was a member of Pierz Legion and Little Falls VFW Post 1112. Ervin greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Janet of Pierz, Dale and Kay of Sullivan Lake; daughters Mrs. Allen (Jeanne) Poser and Mrs. Tim (Joanie) Watercott both of Pierz; brothers, Clarence of Pierz, Joe of Hillman, Leo and Reiny both of Little Falls; sisters, Mrs. Ted (Leona) Funk, Mrs. Elmer (Mathilda) Lampert and Mrs. Earl (Lorraine) Aaron of Pierz, Florence Sahr of Grand Rapids; 10 grandchildren also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Laura Brausen; brothers, Ray and Lawrence.
Honorary casketbearers were Matt Luberts, Jim Funk, Neil Korf, Herb Broschofsky, Jerry Hoheisel and Kenny Funk. Casketbearers were Kenny, Dennis, Marvin and Harvey Brausen, Jim Sahr and Larry Lampert.
