Sept. 22, 1959 - Dec. 10, 2015 Lori Lynn Bailey of Arlington, Wash. passed from this earth on December 10, 2015 after an extended battle with diabetes. She was born September 22, 1959 in Everett, Wash. She was a 1977 graduate of Lake Stevens High School. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dwayne Bailey; son, Craig Bailey (Jessica); step-son, Dwayne Bailey of California; mother, Cheryl Bratcher; sister, Shelly Salsgiver (Rob); and nieces, Melyssa and Kelsey Salsgiver. Lori was preceded in death by her father, Hursle Bratcher Jr.; grandparents, Hursle and Onie Bratcher and aunt, Fran Misz. Lori enjoyed her crafts, sewing, canning and dehydrating, gardening when possible, and most of all her animals. A life-long lover of horses, her work with friend Albert Klein as a breeder of miniature horses culminated in her establishing the Minuteman bloodline. Lori was devoted to family and friends and would often volunteer to help out in most any way that she could. She was active with her son and nieces in 4H and FFA and could be found at various horse shows and the 4H tack sale. Lori worked at Lowes for 12 years eventually reaching the level of Electrical department manager. We enjoyed her stories of surprising and teaching men that it was possible for a woman to know more about electrical than some "professionals". She could be strong and independent when needed, but was always warm and caring. She was family, and she will be greatly missed. Lori endured a lot of hardship in the last 1 3/4 years, but never complained and always gave her best to "get better". A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lake Stevens Senior Center from 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015. In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a contribution to the American Diabetes Foundation, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312, or your local animal rescue program or shelter.
