OBITUARY:
Bruce Milton Brandenburg
Mr. Bruce Milton Brandenburg, 90, of Middletown, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Bernadetta W. Brandenburg.
Born in Harmony, he was the son of the late Leslie C. and Annie J. Waters Brandenburg.
He was a member of the Harmony Community Lutheran Church, Myersville, life member of the Smithsburg Rod and Gun Club, life member of Frederick Fraternal Order of the Eagles 1067, member of the Brunswick Fraternal Order of the Eagles 1136 and member of the Frederick Moose Lodge 371. He retired from NIH in Bethesda in 1987. He also raised Guernsey cattle for a number of years and also played sports for many years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are seven stepchildren... ; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; two nephews, Lynn Morgan and Bruce Morgan; and two nieces, Ann Turcotte and Joan Boxell.
He was predeceased by a sister, Emmamae Morgan in 2005.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, from Harmony Community Lutheran Church, 3939 Brethren Church Road, Myersville. There will also be a viewing one hour prior to the church service Monday. The Rev. Stacy Brady will officiate. Interment will be made in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
