Born near Dayton, she spent most of her life in the Mulberry community. In recent years she had made her home with her son, Robert O. Brand, east of Dayton.
She was married to Mr. Brand September 24, 1905. He died in 1938. She was a member of Dayton Methodist church, the Order of Eastern Star, Lafayette Business and Professional Women's club, and a charter member of Bethany Shrine No. 8, White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Surviving with the son, Robert, are a daughter, Mrs. Martha Connor of Gary, and a sister, Mrs. Grace F. Moore of Lafayette.
Services were held Monday at 3 p. m. at the Dayton Methodist church, with Rev. H. Earl Moore officiating. Burial was in the Dayton cemetery.
