Alfred spent most of his career and adult life living overseas as a teacher for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools; he and his family lived in Puerto Rico, Japan, and Germany. He retired in 1992 and in 1994 he and his wife, Gladys, settled in Ocala. Mr. Branca enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. He believed highly in education and was a lifelong learner.
Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, daughter Julianne, and grandsons, Alex and Anthony. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gladys, his children: Consuelo Bardell (Wayne), Elena Branca, Demetrius Branca (Melissa Valido), and Mary Anne Nedavni (Jens); ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 12th, at Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church, Ocala, followed by burial services at Good Shepherd Memorial Garden, Ocala.
