Mrs. Emma Bramstedt, 74, of Howards Grove, died at her home Saturday afternoon.
The former Emma Spindler, she was born June 23, 1883, in the town of Herman, a daughter of the late Jacob and Emma Spindler. She was confirmed at Bethel Evangelical and Reformed Church in the township and was married to William Dohmeier on Jan. 21, 1903. Following their marriage, the couple located on the Dohmeier homestead in the town of Herman. He died Dec. 30, 1914.
Her second marriage was to William Bramstedt on June 25, 1921. They lived one mile west of Howards Grove where he died Dec. 23, 1940. The following year, Mrs. Bramstedt moved to Howard Grove to make her home with a daughter, Irma. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church in the town of Herman and also belonged to the Ladies Guild of the church.
Survivors include the daughter, Miss Irma Dohmeier at home; a son, Raymond Bramstedt of Howards Grove; three granddaughters; three stepchildren; Elmer Bramstedt of Howards Grove, Mrs. Oscar (Lillie) Werthmann of Sheboygan, Mrs. Fred (Lucy) Klokow of Edwards, and two sisters, Mrs. Otto Arnhoelter of Town Herman and Mrs. Fred Maurer of Kiel. Five sisters, a brother and a granddaughter also preceded her in death.
