Born to Clayton and Hazel (Nearing) Henley in Kellogg, Idaho. Kellogg High School diploma 1938. Attended University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho. On Dec. 20, 1941, married Wendell Brainard in Olympia, Washington. Died in Spokane, Washington.

Among first females to manage male-dominated industry of mining in Silver Valley. Involved in Kellogg's downtown renewal look in barvarian style, kicked-off in the 1970's. She and he brother once owned the property that is now Silverwood Theme Park. When they owned it, it operated as the airport "Henley Aerodome."

She remained actively employed throughout her life, until her final three weeks this side of Heaven. Forest Service, teaching, and restaurant cook rounded out some of her career experiences in late life.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Wendell in 1999 and brother Clayton Henley.
