She was born May 19, 1930, in Harrison, W.Va., a daughter of Daniel and Ida M. Mayhew Bragg. Barbara was a homemaker. She previously worked at Dils Department Store and Johns Manville. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, Yatzee, and was previously a member of the Beechwood Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann (Leroy) Chapman of Parkersburg; her son, James M. (Diane) Nesselroad of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two foster daughters, Martha (Sean) Dailey of Parkersburg and Barbara 'Bobbie' (James) Richmond of Lanexa, Va.; sister, Pauline Valentine of Weirton, W.Va.; five grandchildren, C. Brent (Kerry) Conger of Mineral Wells, W.Va., Jennifer Nesselroad of St. Petersburg, Fla., Amy Lewis of Parkersburg, Kimberly (Buddy) Hedrick of Chesapeake, Va., and Laurel Chapman (Rob Eltzroth) of Glouster, Va.; and seven great-grandchildren, Chase and Ciara Conger, Mary and Rylan Lewis, Colton and Spencer Hedrick, and Logan Eltzroth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Nesselroad; and 10 siblings.
Per Barbara's wishes, there will be no services or visitation.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
