Deloras M. "Toody" Bragg, 94, died at 1:55 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2009 in Colonial Oaks Health Care Center, Marion.

She was the daughter of the late Andrew Ezra and Hazel Deloras (Buroker) Baxter.

She was born in Sweetser, Ind. and attended school in Grant County and graduated from high school in Illinois. She married Oral L. Bragg, August 10, 1936. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1997. Before marriage and raising her family she worked at Farnsworth Radio (RCA) and Marion Glove Factory. She was a member of First Church of God, Marion since 1936 where she was very active in mission work, hospitality committee and Koinonia. She founded meals for shut-ins at church and took care of the floral decorations. Deloras was a 60 year member of a Bunko club and was very active in raising monies during the renovation and beginning restoration of the Hostess House. She was an excellent seamstress and was noted for the beautiful clothes she tailored and sewed.

Survivors include her daughter, Roberta A. (Jay) Gates, Columbiana, OH; son, C. Richard Bragg, Stephenville, TX; grandsons, Lorin (Susan) Gates, Peoria, AZ and Jay R. (Julie) Gates, Sacramento, CA; great-granddaughters, Ashtyn & Kayleigh

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oral; siblings, Audrey Fern Moreland, Mary Helen Brannen, Marshall William Baxter, Aaron Earl Baxter, Ernest DeWayne Baxter and Betty Sue Purtee; and grandsons, Richard Bragg, Jr. and Lawrence William Bragg.

Services are at 1 p.m. Monday in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion with the Rev. Thomas South officiating. Burial is in Estates of Serenity, Marion.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
