MRS. LENA BRAEUER
Mrs. Lena Braeuer died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Shreffler, on West North Second street, Lykens, Thursday night, July 22, at 10 o'clock, aged 70 years, 9 months and 6 days. She had been a sufferer the past six months from dropsy. Mrs. Braeuer was born in Saxony, Germany, in 1856 and has been a' resident of Lykens for 47 years. Her husband, Mr. Herman Braeuer died 16 years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Mary Braeuer and Mrs. John Shreffler, both of Lykens, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Deceased was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, this place.
Funeral services were held at the home last Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. John S. Sowa, pastor of St. John's church officiating. Burial was made in the Odd Fellows' cemetery.
