PORTLAND – Grace M. Brown Bradway, 95, wife of the late Lawrence H. Bradway who until recently lived in Gray, Maine died on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at The Cedars in Portland, Maine.
Grace was born March 12, 1917 in Monson, MA. She was the fourth and last surviving of the six children of Arthur L. Brown and Phebe Bennett Brown.
She is survived by her three children: John F. Bradway of Gerton, NC,
Joyce D. Bradway of Windham, ME and Sarah L. Bradway of Squamish, BC, Canada and by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and N. Windham Union Church.
Grace has also lived in Fryeburg, ME and Standish, ME before settling in Gray. She was one of first female licensed pilots in Maine which was quite an accomplishment. She and her husband, Lawrence owned and operated Bradway Building Inc. in Windham, ME. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling and was an avid bowler.

Arrangements are being made by her granddaughter, Caryn Collins and devoted caregiver Vickie Swan of Windham.
Visiting hour at 1:00pm Wednesday October 24, 2012 followed by funeral at 2:00pm at Dolby Funeral Chapel. Burial will be the following day at the family plot in Monson, MA.
