Linda Jane Bassinger, 66, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, at Potosi Cemetery with Reverend Paul Matta officiating. A visitation will also be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until noon at Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th Street. Burial is under the direction of Abilene Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bassinger was born December 31, 1948, in Lamesa, Texas to Floyd and Jeanette Ballard Bradshaw. She lived 28 years in Corpus Christi, moving from Abilene in the late 80's. Linda's religion was Baptist by heart. She worked over ten years as a specialist for environmental hazards. Linda lived for the love of her children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories include her loving husband of 36 years, Rodney J. Bassinger; two sons, Steven Little and wife, Sandy of Graham and Joe Little of Corpus Christi; a daughter, Marci Little of Virginia; a brother, Harold Wayne Bradshaw of Abilene; two sisters, Debra Ballard Baron and husband, Keith, of Katy, Texas and Sharon Bradshaw Bassinger and husband, Stacy of Abilene; ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
