Moved to Freestone County in 1855 settling near Stewards Mill.
In the Civil War, he served with the CSA Texas Infantry in the 7th Texas Infantry Regiment.
He appears on the 1860, 1870, and 1880 Freestone Co. TX censuses.
George married Josephine on 28 Oct 1869 at Stewards Mill by Rev. Thomas Joell Bonner.

Messrs. Steward
and Watson, and Mr. Geo. Bradley had two or three miles of their pasture wire fence cut one night last week. We are sorry to know that any one with no more principle should live in or near our neighborhood.

Miss Lizzie Bradley and her little brothers, Jim and George, are visiting their uncle Mr. G[eorge] T. Bradley, at Stewards Mill, and we hear will probably live with him, now since their mother's death. [Mary R. Grayson Bradley died 26 Aug 1887 and her husband Lucius de Yampert Bradley Sr. died the year before on 7 Oct 1886.]
