Mildred Berniece Coppes Bozarth, 91, of Burlington and formerly of Yarmouth, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 16, 2015,

She was born May 11, 1924 in Yarmouth, Iowa, the daughter of John H. and Bertha Brass(SIC)Coppes. On December 2, 1941 she married Gene Carol Bozarth in Kahoka, Missouri. He died July 7, 2009. She was a 1942 graduate of Yarmouth High School and a member of the Yarmouth First Baptist Church.

She was a homemaker who worked as cook and later head cook at Yarmouth Schools. She loved to cook and bake and was a woman who enjoyed visiting with friends, opening her home to many. She was known for her quick wit and humor. She ministered to many missionaries and spent much of her time in prayer. She was a wonderful mother and was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Mildred enjoyed her time at Bickford Cottage where the staff knew her as "Granny" and she shared the light of Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Lloyd and Leigh Coppes; two grandchildren, Neil Williams and Holly Mendenhall Burroughs; and one great-grandson, Jackson Bozarth.
