History of Kossuth and Humbolt Counties, Iowa - The first marriage was that of Michael Boyle and Margaret Sheridan, the sister of Patrick Sheridan, who were united on the 15th of December, 1859.
July 31, 1925 - Humboldt Republican - Several relatives from Rutland autoed to Humboldt Tuesday p.m. to help Mrs. Boyle celebrate her 88th birthday. After a social hour, lunch was served from well filled baskets. Mrs. Boyle was presented with a fine decorated cake, also other gifts of usefulness.
Those present were: Mrs. Margaret Sheridan, Mrs. Ella Gregory, Mrs. Mary Sheridan, Mrs. Mabel Gregory and sons Gordon and Bruce, Mrs. Mary E. Davenport and daughter Marget. Mrs. Boyle is a great, great aunt to Gordon and Bruce Gregory and Challis Davenport. At Mrs. Boyle's request all called at her daughter, Mrs. Dan DeGroote. She is bedfast. Mrs. Boyle sent her some of her flowers and cake.
July 17, 1929 - Humboldt Republican - The death of Mrs. Margaret Boyle, well known in Humboldt and Rutland, occurred at the home of her son in Webster City Tuesday of this week, and the remains will be laid to rest in the Humboldt cemetery Friday of this week, the funeral being held at the local Baptist church.
Mrs. Boyle had lived half a century in the vicinity of Rutland and Humboldt and was one of the most highly esteemed pioneers of the county. For years she had made her home in north Humboldt. Lately however her health failed to such an extent that she abandoned her home here and took up her residence with her son in Webster City where death came to her. An obituary will be published next week. (I did not find an obituary)
