She attended schools in Chester, Macwahoc and Lincoln. She worked as a weaver, a nurse's aide and taught music for 20 years, all the while working in several churches in the Lincoln area as pianist, organist and soloist.
She is survived by six children, Larry of Lincoln, Jerold of Wytopitlock, William Jr. of Lee, Linda Houghton of Lee, Ellen Shorey of Lee and Robin Polomsky of Newington, Conn.; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Joe; five brothers, Richard, Jacob, Harrison, Kenwood and Fred; a sister, Beaulah; a grandson, Robert Joseph Arthurs; and a special great-grandson, Larry Hoyt Arthurs Jr.
