Billy Lamar Boyett, 56, died Sunday afternoon, Sept. 23, 2001 at Satilla Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was a life-long resident of Ware County and the son of the late John Herman Boyett and Ruby Catherine Popham Boyett. He also was preceeded in death by a daughter, Beth Boyett.
His occupation was auto mechanic and had previously worked with Wayne Vining Garage & Wrecker Service.
He was a member of the Emerson Park Full Gospel Center.
He is survived by his wife; Annette McKinnon Boyett of Waycross, a daughter Cathy Carter (Frank)of Waycross, two sisters; Betty Joyce Owens of Waycross, Juanell Grantham of Virginia, two brothers; John Richard Boyett of Jacksonville, FL, Herman Eugene Boyett (Mary) of Columbus, three stepsons; Leigh Nelson, William Nelson, and Bret Nelson all of Waycross, two stepdaughters; Dawna Kakean of Durham, NC and Rhonda Nelson of Waycross, 11 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Service is planned for 11:00am Wednesday in the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held in Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until the Funeral on Wednesday morning.
