Funeral services for Cassie Mae Axtell, (79), of Bryceville, Florida, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2005, in Bryceville Baptist Church, located on Church Avenue in Bryceville, Florida, with Rev. Richard Fish officiating. Interment followed in South Prong Cemetery, Sanderson, Florida.
Mrs. Axtell was born August 24, 1926 in Baker County, Florida, the daughter of the late Bailey Mancel Boyd, and the former Salina Frances Fouraker. She died November 20, 2005 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania following a lengthy illness.
Memberships inlcude: Bryceville Baptist Church and Cassie was very active in the community prior to her illness. Survivors include: Daughter, Joyce Miller of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Son, Larry Axtell of Warner Robbins, Georgia; 13 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren; four Daughters-In-Law, Sue, Nancy, Joy and Sandy. Mrs. Axtell was preceded in death by three sons, Rudy, Randy and Bobby.
