BOYD, Betty P., 81, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Prattville Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her husband after 35 years of marriage, Walter Boyd; her parents, Charlie Poole and Annie Bell Hall Poole. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Boyd (Harold)Wilson; sister, Beverly Poole (Charles) Ming; brother-in-law, Robert E. (Patty) Boyd; nieces and nephews; and a special canine companion, "Mandy".
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Leak Memory Chapel with Rev. Larry Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. boyd was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church, the Friendship Sunday School Class and the Daughters of the Nile.
