ROCK HILL - Mrs. Beatrice Turner Boyd, 83, passed away Saturday, March I, 2008, at Westminster Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Clover, to the late Foy D. and Ella McElroy Turner, Mrs. Boyd was a retired cafeteria manager for the Rock Hill School District, and a member of Catawba Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Blackmon Boyd Sr.; daughters, Gale Maynard and Ellen Abernathy; and brother Paul Banks Turner.
She is survived by her children, Ralph Blackmon Boyd Jr. and wife, Meg of Rock Hill; and daughter Beth Boyd Lloyd and husband, Randy of Rock Hill; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will take place Wednesday 11 a.m. at Catawba Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Chuck Trammell. Visitation will take place Tuesday, March 4, 2008, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731 would be appreciated.
