The Grenola Gazette, Thursday, August 10, 1944:
Mrs Glessie Bowman Bauder, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Frank Bowman, was born at Chautauqua, Kansas February 6, 1888 and departed this life July 27, 1944 at the Wesley hospital, Wichita, Kanasas. She lived on a farm near Chautauqua during her girlhood days. When 14 years of age she moved with her parents to Bartlesville, Okla., where she met and married John Kaiserling. To this union two children were born, Anna Beatrice and Gladys Faye. Her husband departed from this life at Chautauqua, Kansas, January 13, 1919.
March 30, 1920 she was united in marriage to Fred Eli Bauder of Grenola, Kansas. To this union three children were born, Betty Louise, Bennie Franklin, and Bonnie Rae. She resided in Grenola for over twenty years.
She leaves to mourn her going home, her husband, Fred Eli Bauder, 4 daughters, Mrs Beatrice Jontra, Elk Falls, Kansas, Mrs Gladys Osborne, Elk Falls, Kansas, Mrs Betty Robertson, Howard, Kansas, and Bonnie Bauder, Grenola, Kansas, one son, Bennie Bauder, Elk Falls, Kansas: one step-daughter, Mrs Flossie Goff, Wichita, Kansas and one step-son, Claude Bauder, Wichita, Kansas. Also surviving are six sisters, and two brothers, Mrs Elizabeth Embree, Peabody, Kansas, Clifford Bowman, Elk City, Kansas, Mrs Nellie Gibbens, Dewey, Oklahoma, Mrs Mary Allee, Barnsdall, Oklahoma, Mrs Olga Parks, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Frank Bowman, Placedo Junction, Texas, Mrs Allie Runyan, Chautauqua, Kansas, and Mrs Gladys Aiken, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, four grandsons, and a host of other relatives and friends.

FUNERAL RITES
The funeral services for Mrs Glessie Bauder were held at the Christian Church in Grenola at 11 A M Sunday with Rev Elliot in charge of the services. All of her brothers and sisters were present with the exception of one brother, Frank Bowman of Placedo, Texas, one step-daughter, Flossie Goff and one step-son, Claude Bauder, both of Wichita.
