Bonnie Bowman went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012. Funeral Mass: 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary the Virgin Catholic Church, 1408 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Arlington Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to Community Hospice of Texas or St. Mary the Virgin Building Fund. Bonnie was born April 13, 1926, in Miami, Ariz. She attended Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in El Paso where she met and married Raymond Parra. They had two children. In 1980 she married Chuck Bowman. During her years in El Paso, she demonstrated her skill as a gifted artist. She moved to Arlington in 2000 where she resided until her death. Bonnie leaves a memory of being that lovely, tiny lady with the sweet smile. Survivors: Son, Raymond Parra and wife, Hilary, of Austin; daughter, Lynne Parra of Arlington; "adopted" daughter, Cristyl Chance of Arlington; grandchildren, Justin Parra, Jeff Parra and wife, Claire, of Austin and Tessa Parra of Okeechobee, Fla.; brothers, Jim Clark of Mesa, Ariz., Carl and Wayne Christian of Eagle Point, Ore.; and sisters, Carlene Baker and Sudene Christian of Eagle Point, Ore.
