Surviving him at the time of his death were his wife, Carrie, 3 daughters, Miss Mable Bowlsby, Mrs. Alexander Barrett both of Portville, Mrs. George Shaw of Ithaca, NY., 2 sons, Robert and Albert Bowlsby, both of Portville. funeral was held April 17, 1928 at his home.
