Vera L. Balogh, 88, Palmetto, died Aug. 2, 2003. She was born April 21, 1915, in Monroe County, Mo, and spent the winters in Palmetto since 1963 from Missouri, Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. She showed and trained horses for many years. She was a Christian.
Survivors include sisters Cleo Wilt of Shelbina, Mo., and Alberta Johnson and Kathryn Gough, both of Perry, Mo.; brothers John R. Bowling of Shelbina and Lyle Bowling of Perry; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be later in Shelbina. Kicliter Funeral Home, Palmetto, is in charge.
