Mrs. Wm. Beatty Dies Suddenly
Mrs. Wm. Beatty, wife of the most prominent farmers of Raymond township died Wednesday morning at 6:45 at her home 3 miles west of Raymond.
Her health had been poor for several months, but on her return from Minnesota three weeks ago she seemed much improved and her sudden death, resulting from heart failure, was a great shock to her family and her numerous friends.
Alice Bowles, daughter of W. A. and Susan Bowles, was born at Raymond, Oct. 10, 1857, and died April 14, 1915, being 57 years, 6 months and 4 days of age at the time of her death. William Beatty and Alice Bowles were united in marriage Jan. 26, 1887, at Raymond. Of this marriage the following children were born: Oliver, a daughter, wife of Ross Fitzjerrell, of Walla Walla, Wash.; Joe of Chicago; Ora, Ida and Gladys at home. Mrs. Beatty was greatly devoted to her home and family, her beautiful unselfishness and sacrificing spirit made her loved wherever known. Her death is a loss to the community as well, and she leaves hosts of friends to mourn her untimely demise.
The funeral services will be held from the family residence Friday Apr. 16, at 1 p.m.
Oliver Beatty and Mrs. Fitzjerrell arrived from the west Thursday to be present at the funeral services of their mother.
