BOWLES, Herman Lewis, 77, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 1997, at the Veterans Hospital in Salem. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Mae H. Bowles; son & daughter-in-law, John & Lynda Bowles of Snowville; daughter & son-in-law, Ruth Ann & Fred Crockett of Christiansburg; sister, Roxie Williams of Roanoke; one grandson; four granddaughters; and three great-granddaughters. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 18, 1997, at 11 a.m. at the Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Jerry Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
