Harvey F. Bowersock, 84, Loving Husband

Harvey F. Bowersock, 84, of Ashland passed away, Tuesday evening, June 17, 2014 at home with his loving family by his side.

He was born on May 6, 1930 in West Salem, OH to the late, Elmer and Florence (nee Berry) Bowersock.

Harvey graduated from Congress High School, Class of 1948, where he holds a record in basketball for the most points scored in one game.

He married the love of his life, the former Lulu "Beanie" Roseborough on May 6, 1951 in the West Salem United Methodist Church.

Harvey retired from Rex-Roth Bosch Inc. in Wooster after more than 39 ½ years as a manufacturer engineer.

He enjoyed traveling, hiking, and was an avid outdoors enthusiast. Harvey spent countless hours with his family, time he truly cherished.

Harvey was a devoted member of the Ashland Christian Church and a lunch group with retirees from the Rex-Roth Company.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years of marriage, Beanie Bowersock of Ashland; three daughters, Becky (Craig) Nichols, Terri (Tom) Smith, Jan Brownfield, all of Ashland; six grandchildren, Kari (Jason) Martin of Ashland, Jason (Jessica) Klaameyer of Ashland, Molly Nichols of Ashland, Jesse Nichols of Ashland, Jordan (Jeremiah) Price of Mansfield, and Morgan (Seth) Plank of Ashland; six great grandchildren, Madeline, Alivia, Austen, Rogan, Daisy, and Nolan; and two step great grandchildren, Landon and Breena.

In addition to his parents, Harvey is preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Dale Bowersock; one sister, Opal Kline; and a great granddaughter, Lailah Grace Nichols.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, June 21, 2014 in the Ashland Christian Church, 1480 Orange Road Ashland, OH 44805 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Scot Myers officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazzard Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, June 20, 2014 in the Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the church.
