Death of Mrs. A.B. Bowering.
Fredericksburg, Va., April 13. -- Last night while Mrs. A.B. Bowering was walking near her home on Prince Edward Street about 9:30 o'clock she was taken with congestion of the lungs and would have fallen to the ground, but was caught and supported by her sister, Mrs. T.N. Brent, who was with her at the time. Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Bowering were only a few yards distant and came to her assistance. Dr. Carmichael was summoned responded promptly, but Mrs. Bowerinq was beyond all human aid and expired in a few minutes after she was taken home. The sudden death of this Christian lady has caused deep grief in the community when she was so well known. The circumstances of her death were rendered more distressing by the fact that her husband was absent from attending the Grand Lodge of Odd-Fellows in Richmond. The funeral will take place from the Methodist Church Thursday evening at 4 o'clock. The Times,(Richmond, Virginia) 14 Apr 1892.
