Paul N. BOWEN. 83, 1285 N. Indiana 19, Akron, died at 8:15 p.m. Friday at ExtendaCare Health Facility, Rochester.
Born to Nelson and Emma NICODEMUS BOWEN in Fulton County, he married Gloria J. PRATT on July 10, 1948 at the Omega Church, Akron. She survives. A farmer, he worked as the superintendent at the Omega Church, Akron. He was a trustee at the church, and he was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. . .
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Mrs. George (Carol) GRAHAM, Akron, Mrs. Mark (Janet) HAWLEY, Akron; one son, David and wife Jane BOWEN, Atlanta, Ga.. nine granddchildrcn, one great-grandson, two sisters, Ruth BOWEN, Akron, Doris SHELLENBARGER, Wabash. and two brothers, Raymond and wife Margaret BOWEN Lakeville, Albert and wife Esther BOWEN, Rochester. Preceding in death were two sisters, Mary BOWEN and, Lois DRUDGE.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hartzler, Funeral Home. Akron. Rev. Thomas TUPPS will officiate. Burial will be at the Akron Cemetery, and military graveside rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Omega Church, Akron.
