Mrs. Clara F. Bowen, wife of J. C. Bowen, died at the Protestant hospital at 8:30 o'clock last night, aged 33 years. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Haynie and Mrs. Luckham, and three brothers, Edward, John C. Jr. and Tanker K. Haynie. The funeral will be held at the residence, 1002 Virginia street at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Service will be conducted by Rev. Vernon I'Anson of Grace Baptist church. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

FUNERAL OF MRS. BOWEN
The funeral of Mrs. Clara F. Bowen, wife of J. A. Bowen, took place at 3 p.m. yesterday at the residence, 1102 Virginia street and was well attended. Rev. B. Lacy Hoge of the Spurgeon Memorial Baptist church, conducted the services. There were handsome floral tributes and the interment was in Riverside cemetery. Mrs. Bowen died suddenly Wednesday afternoon at a local hospital. She was 33 years old and is survived by her husband, two daughters and a son, two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Haynie and Mrs. Luckham. She is survived also by three brothers, Edward, John C. Jr. and Tanker K. Haynie. She was highly esteemed, a native of Virginia and had lived in this city three years. The pall bearers were J. Breslauer, E. J. Godfrey, J. F. Barnard, H. C. Wilder, J. T. Wyatt, G. Sawyer.
