Ruby M. Boulware, 89, of Detroit passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at Paris Nursing Home at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received her into their care.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at the Detroit Church of Christ with Bro. Bennie Cogburn officiating. Burial followed at Kanawha Cemetery.

She was born June 28, 1915, in Manchester, the daughter of William C. and Allie Casey Covington. She graduated from Paris High School and East Texas State Teachers College with a master?s degree. She taught first grade in Detroit School District until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Boulware; parents; three brothers, Marvin Covington, W.C. (Sonny) Covington, and Eugene Covington; one sister, Margaret Kemp Pierce; and nieces, Mary K. Sales and Marvelene Upchurch.

She is survived by seven nieces, Wanda Womack of Atlanta, Mary Francis Bailey of Plano, Ana Lou Grimmett of Akron, Ohio, Janice Spitler of St. Louis, Marsha Bresnahan of Tulsa, Martha Reep of Blossom, and Debbie Shelby of Reno; one nephew, Bill Covington of St. Louis; a very special sister-in-law, Joyce Covington of Detroit; and several great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Belyeu, Marc McWilliams, Brandon Hoog, Keith Reep, Gary Shelby and Kacy Jones.
