Birth: unknown
Death: Oct. 29, 1918

Casualty of the Great War, Alexander was a Corporal in the Canadian Field Artillery 2nd Brigade Ammunition Column.Service No:41744.

The Canadian Book of Remembrance (Virtual Cemetery)located in the Memorial Chamber in the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, was established in 1992 to commemorate those who were listed in Canada's official World War One Book of Remembrance numbering around 300 casualties but who were not then in the records of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

The Book of Remembrance contains the names of Canadians who fought in wars and died either during or after them. Quite aptly named are these testaments to Canada's past, for by their very title they are a reminder of the foundations of courage on which Canada is built. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission continues to search to find the graves of these casualties who have no known grave location. Those casualties whose graves have not been identified will be commemorated on an appropriate memorial in Canada or the United Kingdom.
Research to date has identified the burial location of the majority.
