Services for Miss G. Maxine Botzong will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2013 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Tim Hisaw officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family requests that visitation be observed Friday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Miss Botzong of Tioga passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at Woods Haven Nursing Home.

She had a very distinguished career with South Central Bell, starting as a long distance operator and became one of the first women to move into the ranks of linesman, retiring in 1985.

She was a beloved aunt, and second mother to all the nieces, nephews, their children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Robert and Iona Krouse Botzong; sister, Margerite Keller and husband, Earl; two brothers, Bobby Botzong, Wilbur Botzong and wife, Georgia; one sister in law, Carolyn Botzong.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Leona Smith and husband, Eldred of Colfax; brother, Glenn Botzong of Lake Wales, Florida.

Aunt Mac leaves behind eleven nieces and nephews; twenty-six great nieces and nephews; eight great great nieces and nephews; along with a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.
