Mrs. Myrtle Garrett Botkin, wife of Dr. Charles L. Botkin, died Friday in Ball Hospital following injuries received in a fall several weeks ago. She was a native of Randolph County and moved from Farmland with her husband to Muncie in 1924.
Dr. and Mrs. Botkin moved to Hollywood, Fla. in 1939, returning here only last fall. She was a member of High Street Methodist Church.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Dr. Tom Botkin and Dr. Clyde G. Botkin, Muncie; a sister, Mrs. Nell Barger, Angola; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at Meeks Mortuary by Dr. Donald Bailey of High Street Methodist Church. Cremation will follow. There will be no calling hours.
