Irvin J. Boslet, 75, 2610 Lark Ave., died late Tuesday morning, Jan 13, 1998, at Van Zandt Va Medical Center, following an extended illness.

He was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Altoona, the son of the late Roy E. and Ruth Anna (Jacobs) Boslet. He married Betty Hetrick July 16, 1970 in Altoona.

Mr. Boslet was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, where he participated in the Our Lady of Loures 1939 Graduation gatherings.

He was a 1941 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1954 graduate of Penn State University.

Mr. Boslet retired as an auditing supervisor from Heller Financial Services, Chicago, in 1987.

He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving from 1943 to 1952.

Mr. Boslet was a 50 year member of the American Legion, a 45 year member of Blair Voiture 350, 40et 8; a member of Disabled American Veterans, Heidelberg County Club, the Blair County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society Sons of the American Revolution and the American Association of Retired Persons; and a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association.

Surviving are his wife; two sons; Joseph Michael and Steven Allen, both of Harrisburg; two daughters Sally Ann Steel of Tyrone and Andrea Jean, at home; a stepson, Jeffrey Marlett Sr. of ALtoona; a brother Donald F. of Lewistown, N.Y.; and a sister, Betty McNamara of Lakeland, Fla.

There will be no public visitation. Arrangements by Stevens Mortuary.


BOSLET - The funeral of Irvin J. Boslet of 2610 Lark Ave., will be held with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment at Alto - Reste Park. There will be no public visitaion. Arraangements by Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 8th Ave.
