SHREWSBURY - E. Viola (Borg) Bergstrom, 76, of 7 Melody Lane, died Friday, Dec. 15, in Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She leaves her husband of 52 years, Irving W. Bergstrom (died 2008) two sons, four daughters, a brother, nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; several nephews and nieces.
She was born in Alfta, Sweden, daughter of Frans and Christina (Persson) Borg, and lived in Worcester before moving to Shrewsbury 44 years ago. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester in 1943.
She was a member of Bethlehem Covenant Church in Worcester, where she was a deaconess and Sunday school superintendent. She sang in the church choir 40 years. She was also a member of the Covenant Women. She was a former member of the Valley Riding and Driving Club in Grafton.
