June was born in Tenafly, New Jersey on June 6, 1927, preceded in death by her parents, John H. Borg Sr., father, and Alma M. Borg, mother, along with her brother, John H. Borg Jr.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart, of 62 years, husband, William J. Bennett, and their two children, Gary Bennett, Bonnie (Belzil) and son-in-law, Arnold Belzil; her much loved grandchildren, Adria and Bridget Bennett, of Virginia, Peter Belzil, of Arizona, Mandy Cohn, and husband, Andrew, of California; and her great-grandchildren, Kayla and Kaydria Bennett and newest addition to the family, Jaylen Cohn.
June devoted her entire life to her husband and children, always encouraging them to achieve their life's ambition and always assuring them that nothing is impossible.
Moving to Arizona, almost 45 years ago was one of the families' biggest adventures, leaving friends and family behind in New Jersey and driving out to the wild, wild west.
Her warm smile and easy going nature made it easy to make new friends that remained loyal and true for many years, up until the present. She always enjoyed cooking and entertaining which went hand in hand, as well as celebrating holidays and special occasions passing on these traditions.
June and Bill spent most of their retired life traveling to Europe and managing to visit every state in the U.S., mostly by way of motor home, with journals and slides to remind them of these wonderful vacations.
Mom, we are so blessed to have had you enrich our lives and you will remain in our hearts forever.
In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85014.
