Billy Eugene Bordovsky, 79, of Elk, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elk with the Msgr. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Elk. Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, with visitation to follow at the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel.

Billy was born in Hallsburg, Texas, to the late Adolph and Annie Bordovsky. He attended school in Hallsburg and Riesel. On Oct. 28, 1950, he married Rosalie Pechacek and they moved to the Elk community. He worked at TXU for 31 years. Upon his retirement, he continued to pursue his interests in farming, gardening, and woodworking. He was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elk.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Swaner; and grandson, Kevin Kasik.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie; sons, Charles Bordovsky, of Elk, Jim Bordovsky and wife, Dale, of Plainview, Harold Bordovsky, of Garland, and Wendel Bordovsky and wife, Khaki, of Elk; daughters, Joan Kasik and husband, John, of Bellmead, and Lisa McLesky and husband, Rusty, of Burnet; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Theodore Bordovsky, of Elk; sisters, Olene Bonds and husband, Jake, of Waco, Marguerite Brinkley, of San Antonio, and Dorothy Jurecka, of Waco; other relatives and many friends.
