Graveside services for Frances Stephens Borders, 89, will be held at Edgemont Cemetery, Monday, June 14, 2010, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Darrin Post officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. and Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Mrs. Borders died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Jacksonville Medical Center, Jacksonville Alabama. She was a devoted wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include her son, Dan L. Borders (Jane); two daughters, Diane Madrid (Oswald), and Sue Gay (Tony); eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Stephens (Janet). She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Daniel M. Borders; her parents, Lee and Zona Stephens; and two sisters, Betty Stephens and Audrey Lloyd. Mrs. Borders was a native of Anniston and was retired from Anniston Army Depot. She was a member of Hill Crest Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be family members. The family would like to thank Mrs. Vicki Floyd and the staff at Eastside on Leighton for their loving care. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hill Crest Baptist Church, 5117 Post Oak Road, Anniston, AL 36206 or Restoring God's House, Parker Memorial Baptist Church, 1205 Quintard Avenue, Anniston, AL 36201.
