She was born in Huntington on Nov. 26, 1926, to the late Tracy and Cozzetta (Coffelt) Wampner. She married William R. Booth on Dec. 20, 1945, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 2004.
Bertha was a lifelong resident of Marion and a homemaker. She was well known for her cake decorating skills, and, as a side business, made wedding and birthday cakes for many people in Marion.
Bertha was a proud mother and grandmother to Tamara (David) Rhoderick, Indianapolis, and William Long, Louisiana; mother to Linda Landgrave, South Carolina, and Pansy Hedquist, Gas City; grandmother to Tereasa Elnora Maxine House, Jacob Robert Walker, Brandon Rhoderick, Matthew Clark, David (Shannon) Oaks Jr. and child, Alexander David Oaks, Panacea Long, Angie Warren, Donald Hedquist Jr., Mark Shoffner; great-grandchildren, Mark Jr., Jeremiah, Emily, Larry, Shawn, David, D.J., Monica, Megan and Kyleigh; brothers, Delbert (Betty) Wampner, Willis (Donna) Wampner and Elwood (Marilyn) Wampner; sisters, Betty (Gene) Turner, Virginia (Ron) Estes, Lois (Tom) Kilgore, Shirley Lyons, and Ellawione Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tracy and Cozzetta (Coffelt) Wampner; her husband, William R. Booth; and a daughter, Teresa Eileen Booth.
Services are 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. Burial is at Estates of Serenity Cemetery, Marion.
Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home
