Gwendolyn Ann Day Booth, born September 2, 1930, died November 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Daughter of the late Charles Emerson Day and Rose Marie Webere. See is survived by her beloved husband James Earl Booth, Sr. and daughter Genevieve Booth Gullo, sons James Jr., Stephen, Gregory, Timothy and Jeffery Booth; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Lucy Day Henderson and Edna Day Bentz. Gwen graduated of Charity Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 and retired from Oschner Foundation Hospital. She is a member of the Ascension of Our Lord Parish and a Past President and active board member of the St John Association of Retarded Citizens. Visitation will be at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 West Airline Hwy, LaPlace LA, for family and friends on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 6pm to 9pm, and on Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 9am to 11:30am. Funeral mass will be at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1900 Greenwood Dr., LaPlace LA at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery No. 1.
