Donald C. Booterbaugh 97, Cresson died March 1, 2020 at Amber Hills, Ebensburg. Born November 12, 1922 in Amsbry the son of the late Manuel and Pearl (Pugh) Booterbaugh. Preceded in death by wife the former Mae Jewart on Feb. 1976, son Donald Jr. on Nov. 1947, grandchildren, Heather Pierce and Bobby Joe Miller and great-granddaughter Miranda Felus, son-in-law Stephen Felus, sister Margaret Talarico and brother Ted. Survived by children, Shelia (Robert) Ault, Bonnie (Bob) Miller, Donna (Jim) Shedlock and Robert (Linda) Booterbaugh, 13 grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and sister Delores Nickol. Don worked for Interstate Trucking as an over-the-road driver and retired in 1976. Army /Air Force Veteran of WW II receiving a Good Conduct Medal, World War ii Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars. Member of Ashville VFW and Cresson American Legion. Don loved going out to eat, taking long rides, going to the beach, flying, golfing and spending time with his family especially his grandkids. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 pm Wednesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin. Funeral Service will be celebrated at Noon Thursday at Cresson Alliance Church, 908 4th Street, Cresson. Committal Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
