Jennie V. Boose
SEVEN VALLEYS - Jennie V. (Kessler) Boose, 98, of Spring Grove, formerly of Seven Valleys, died Friday, September 10, 2010, at St. Joseph Medical Center, Towson, Md. She was the wife of the late Henry W. Boose.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zion (Shaffer's) United Lutheran Church, 4535 Shaffer Road, Seven Valleys, with her pastor, the Rev. J. Thomas Shelley, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Boose was born in North Codorus Township, on August 26, 1912, a daughter of the late Erney Hamilton and Leah Alverta (Gladfelter) Kessler.
She was a 1930 graduate of Glen Rock High School where she never missed a day of school, and had been employed as a seamstress with the J.H. Stern Garment Company in Seven Valleys for many years. Mrs. Boose was a lifelong member and was the oldest member of Zion (Shaffer's) United Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting and had received several awards for her handy work.
She leaves a daughter, Dawn E. Boose of Baltimore, Md.; a son, Larry E. Boose and his wife, Lola of Spring Grove; three grandchildren, Mark Boose, Robyn Boose, and Janine Keller and her husband, Greg; four great-grandchildren, Clarissa, Sean, Paige, and Erin; and three great-great-grandchildren, Jayden, Quinn, and Elijah.
She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Kessler, and a brother, Harry Kessler.
