Last Thursday afternoon Mrs. Lewis Booker died at the home of her parents, Mr. & Mrs. George Butts, after several months of suffering with consumption.
She was born May 31, 1891 and at the age of nine was converted at the Oak Grove church near Dunn and to the day of her death lived a faithful christian life.
She was married Nov. 13, 1907 to Lewis Booker. About a year ago her health became so bad that she could not look after her household duties and she and her husband went to the home of her parents where they remained until her death.
The funeral was held Friday at 3: p.m. in the Oak Grove church and Rev. Stone of Charleston officiated.
