Albert Bonham, Hennepin Resident Dies in Davis

Albert Bonham, 78, well known Hennepin resident, passed away Friday night at 7:15 in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Giles Sowell in Davis. Death followed a lingering illness due to internal cancer.

Funeral services held in the Pentecostal Holiness church at Hennepin Monday at 1 p.m. were conducted by the pastor, Rev. H. L. White. Burial was at Pooleville under direction of Bahner Funeral Home, Davis.

Body bearers were Clayton Casey, C. Carter, Earl Lowe, Geo. Yancey, Bounce Headrick and Arthur Jones.

Mr. Bonham had lived in the vicinity of Hennepin about 35 years. He was born in Little Maumee, Ark., March 4, 1871.

He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Maude Herring and Mrs. Lorene Bybee, both of Hennepin; Mrs. Alice Newton, Watsonville, Calif., and Mrs. Giles Sowell, Davis; four sons, George of Seminole, Leo of Dougherty, Sam of San Francisco and Jim, in service in Japan; one brother, John Bonham, San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Goodwin and Mrs. Nannie Grimmett, both of Arkansas; 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
