The remains of Mrs. Casapha Allen, who died at Vernon last Friday, reached here Saturday afternoon and were interred in Oakwood, following the funeral service, which was conducted by Rev. Bonnie Grimes
Mrs. Allen was the widow of Maj. W. B. Allen, one of the country's earliest settlers, who died about fifteen years ago.
She had made her home at Vernon about ten years.
