Deceased Name: EDWARD G. BOND

Edward Garrett Bond, 71, formerly of Windsor, died Feb. 11, 1992, in a hospital.

Mr. Bond was born in Bertie County. He was a rural letter carrier for 34 years and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Martha B. Blevins, and a son, Edward L. Bond, both of Oriental; a sister, Winefred B. Leicester of Greenville; two brothers, Lee Bond of Titusville, Fla., and John Bond of Oriental; and six grandchildren.

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor, by the Rev. Dick Barber. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Walker Funeral Home, Windsor. Memorial donations may be made to the Thompson Orphanage in Charlotte.
