Mr. Bond died Thursday at the family residence. He had been ill since last September.
Born in Smithfield, Tenn., he had been an Albany resident for the past 38 years. He was a diesel mechanic for B and L Motor Freight, Inc. for 20 years, retiring in January 1977.
He was a member of Anthony Lodge, 171, F&AM, Albany, and Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis.
Survivors include his wife, F. Marcelle Starr Bond; two daughters; a son; two brothers; a sister; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
