Detailed obituary and photo found in the 20 Apr 1911 Reading Eagle on page 1, continued onto page 4. The obituary speaks extensively of his family and his Civil War service wherein he served as a Sergeant in some of the most important battles of the war. His funeral is discussed in the 23 Apr edition on pg 1. He is said to have been buried in the New Lutheran Cemetery at Strausstown which was apparently a name for what is now called St. Paul's, as opposed to Zion Cemetery which was created in 1739.
