Abram M. Bollinger

Abram M. Bollinger, 91, of Lititz, entered into rest at Mennonite Home, Lancaster, on Saturday, September 5, 2009.

Born in Clay Township, he was the son of the late Christian and Florence (Minnich) Bollinger and the husband of the late Ruth (Hollinger) Bollinger, who preceded in him death in 2004.

He was a member of Middle Creek Church of the Brethren. A beef and dairy farmer, he enjoyed attending local cattle auctions and trips to Virginia to purchase cattle. He also enjoyed hunting.

Mr. Bollinger is survived by two sons, Clifford E., husband of Susan (Buchen) Bollinger of Utica, NY, and Thomas A., husband of Sue (Hershey) Bollinger of Lititz; two daughters, Patricia Y., wife of Joseph P. Kochansky of York, and Dolores E., wife of Michael Keene of Lancaster; a brother, Roy, husband of Mildred (Peters) Bollinger of Rushford, MN; 12 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Amman, and two sisters, Ella Bollinger and Mazzie Zuck.

A viewing will be held at the Middle Creek Church of the Brethren, 351 Middle Creek Church Road, Lititz, from 6 to 8 PM Friday, September 11th, and also from 9 to 10 AM Saturday, September 12th. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, with Pastors John Hess and Paul Brubaker officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
